Tickets to the ‘In Conversation with the Artists’ Event are now available – Book Now

Siana Bangura’s highly anticipated first exhibition was recently announced and you can now purchase tickets to the exhibition’s closing event, taking place on Sunday 23rd October 2016 at Buster Mantis from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

‘In Conversation with the Artists’ will be an opportunity to discuss and engage with the many important and emotive themes of the exhibition on its last day on show and pose an opportunity for open and honest discussion. The forum and panel event will be a conversation between Siana and the other artists involved in the exhibition as well as Q&As with the audience, exploring themes of anger, vulnerability, pain, and ‘otherness’, as well as Black female joy, laughter, and the inspirations behind the work of Adama Jalloh, Juliana Kasumu, and Mikela Henry-Lowe.

Siana Bangura

Siana Bangura is a writer, poet, performer and producer hailing from South East London. She is the author of critically acclaimed debut collection, 'Elephant', a book of poetry meditating on Black British womanhood and life growing up in London and the founder and former editor of No Fly on the WALL. Siana is the producer of '1500 & Counting', a documentary film investigating deaths in custody in the UK. With experience in indie publishing, journalism, and campaigns under her belt, Siana’s wide portfolio of work focuses on bringing voices on the margins to the centre.
